Money Flow

Currency Settings

Money Flow allows you to keep track of your finances in multiple currencies. To do this, you can adjust the following settings.

General currency

Settings ▸ General Currency.
It is used as the currency in which all totals are displayed. Transactions in currencies other than the general currency will be converted to it using the current exchange rate. The general currency is the default currency for all accounts and groups of accounts, unless they have their own currency specified.

Currency of account or accounts group

Each account or accounts group can have its own currency, which can be different from the general currency: Account/Accounts Group Settings ▸ Currency.

Currency of transaction

The currency of each individual transaction can be any currency, regardless of the general currency or the account currency. On iPhone and iPad, you can select the currency by tapping the corresponding button on the numeric keypad while entering the amount (switching between favorite currencies). On Mac, you can select the currency by clicking on the currency symbol next to the amount.

Alternative currency

You can display the amount in another currency on the transaction screen: View ▸ Alternative Currency. This can be useful for quickly assessing the transaction amount, for example, when spending while traveling. Click on this amount to switch the currency (switching between favorites).

Favorite currencies

It's a good idea to add all the currencies you use to your favorites list. To do this, simply mark them with a star in the list.
